What’s your name? Kevin Jones

Do you have a family? Yes, I have been married to Julie since 1997 and we have three children – Gareth, Elsie, and Bronwyn.

What do you do for a living? I work in risk management for a major worldwide integrated energy corporation.

What sort of education do you have? I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis and an MBA from St. Mary’s College of California.

Calvinist or Arminian? Calvinist

Cessasionist or Continuist? Pretty much a cessasionist, but I would have a hard time proving it.

What is your denominational affiliation? Currently, I am a member of an Evangelical Free Church. I was raised as a Landmark Baptist.

Why the Reluctant Puritan? I guess that I chose the name because, if it were up to me, I would have done things much differently than God did. By the way, if it were up to me, we’d all be in a lot of trouble.

What Happened to Your Hair? What’s wrong with my hair?

What Do You Feel Are The Most Significant Inventions During Your Lifetime? The iPod, the Big Gulp, and that bell that goes off when you leave the lights on in your car.

Favorite Authors? John Piper, John MacArthur, R.C. Sproul

Favorite Movies? Star Wars (all of them), Star Trek (all of them except the fifth one – that was just weird), the Matrix (just the first one), the Iron Giant (I cried when the Giant flew after the missile), the Apostle (absolutely fascinating)

Favorite TV Shows? Lost, Heroes, Jericho

Favorite Music? Very eclectic. I love bluegrass (Bill Monroe, Alison Krauss, Blue Highway), Alternative/Punk Rock (Elvis Costello, the Plimsouls, the Clash), Folk Rock (John Hiatt, Tom Petty, the Byrds), Country (Johnny Cash), Classical, and just about everything except thrash metal and hip hop.

Worst Thing About the Blogosphere? Watchbloggers who feel that they must (and can) place everyone into “really saved” and “going to hell” categories
